Authorities have confirmed the arrest of nine teenagers on Tuesday in connection with a disturbing assault that took place on a California beach over the weekend, during which three Marines were brutally attacked and the incident was captured on camera.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department announced that four males and one female have been charged with assault with a deadly weapon and have been placed in juvenile hall, the New York Post reported.
Additionally, four other minors are facing charges of misdemeanor assault and battery, as reported by CBS News.
Due to their status as minors, the identities of the suspects have been withheld, as stated by the authorities. San Clemente Mayor Chris Duncan mentioned that law enforcement officials have apprehended the primary suspects among a group of approximately 40 individuals who were involved in the merciless assault on the three servicemen, who were simply enjoying their Memorial Day weekend near the Pier Bowl.
