Canada is grappling with an escalating crisis as raging fires necessitate the displacement of thousands, prompting widespread evacuations.

These out-of-control blazes, which a provincial minister cautioned could persist “all summer,” have plunged the nation into a relentless struggle, NDTV reported.

Since the start of the year, an alarming expanse of approximately 17,800 square miles has succumbed to the devastating flames, far exceeding previous averages.

This accelerated destruction can be attributed to Canada’s disproportionate warming in the face of global climate change.

The western region of the country has borne the brunt of this catastrophe.

Despite a brief respite, fires have once again gained intensity in Alberta, triggering the evacuation of the town of Edson for the second time since May, with Friday night marking the latest occurrence.
