In Green Bay, Wisconsin, a woman was found guilty on Wednesday of committing a heinous crime involving the murder, sexual abuse, and dismemberment of her former boyfriend.

Taylor Schabusiness, aged 25, was convicted on charges of homicide, third-degree sexual abuse, and mutilating a corpse, all related to the killing of Shad Thyrion, who was 24 years old at the time of the incident in February 2022.

The trial was marked by disturbing actions on the part of the defendant, Fox News reported.

Schabusiness openly laughed and smirked throughout the court proceedings, even when graphic evidence was presented, including video footage of her interrogation by law enforcement and the judge’s consideration of whether to show the jury explicit photos of the victim’s decapitated head.

According to authorities, Thyrion was strangled at his Green Bay residence, where he lived with his mother.

After his death, Schabusiness sexually abused him and dismembered his body, scattering body parts both inside the house and in a vehicle.

The jury in Brown County reportedly reached a verdict swiftly, deliberating for less than an hour before finding her guilty on all charges.

The trial came to a disturbing end, with the defendant’s unsettling behavior adding to the gravity of the already horrific crime.
