Fighters Claim Ukrainian Drones With ‘Claws’ Abducting Russian Troops

Under the leadership of Ramzan Kadyrov, a close associate of Vladimir Putin, Chechen fighters allege that Ukraine has been employing colossal drones with pincer-like appendages to abduct injured Russian soldiers from the battlefield.

These drones have been likened to “Baba Yaga,” a character from Slavic folklore known as an ogress or witch who seizes and consumes children.

In this context, the term “Baba Yaga” is used to describe these drones, which possess substantial claws capable of airlifting soldiers skyward, the Daily Beast reported.

As reported by Russian media, a member of the Akhmat battalion conveyed that these large drones, albeit slightly upgraded, have previously been utilized by the opposing forces to surreptitiously capture our wounded personnel.

The drone is outfitted with specialized mechanisms resembling claws, which it employs to seize individuals who are incapacitated and unable to escape, conceal themselves, or resist the drone’s grasp.

The soldier further revealed that these drones stalk their targets during the cover of night and can only be neutralized by means of flamethrowers or grenade launchers.
