
A dispute that originated over sauce at a McDonald’s in Washington, D.C. escalated tragically into the fatal stabbing of a 16-year-old, according to police reports.
Naima Liggon, a resident of Waldorf, Maryland, lost her life in the early morning hours of Sunday due to the violence, as confirmed by the Metropolitan Police of the nation’s capital.
The incident unfolded outside a McDonald’s located in the 1900 block of 14th Street, Northwest. Following the stabbing, Liggon was transported to a hospital in a private vehicle, NBC News reported.
Officers received a distress call just after 2 a.m. reporting a teenage girl with stab wounds at the hospital. Despite efforts to save her life, she succumbed to her injuries.
Subsequently, on the same Sunday, a 16-year-old girl, also from Waldorf, was apprehended by the police and found in possession of a knife.
As reported by NBC Washington, she now faces charges including second-degree murder while armed, assault with intent to kill, aggravated assault, felony assault, and carrying a dangerous weapon.
