On Wednesday, Russia initiated a series of extensive assaults throughout Ukraine, notably launching a barrage on Kyiv, a strike described by city officials as the most potent attack on the capital since the spring season.

These lethal onslaughts coincide with Ukraine’s recent notable advancements in its ongoing counteroffensive against Russian military forces, Newsweek reported.

Just this Monday, Ukrainian officials announced the liberation of Robotyne, a village situated in the Zaporizhzhia region. This settlement held tactical significance within Russia’s defensive setup.

Notably, the reclamation of Robotyne followed Ukraine’s recapture of Urozhaine—a village in the Donetsk region that held strategic importance for Russia’s supply lines—earlier this month.

During the nocturnal assault on Kyiv, Serhiy Popko, who leads the Kyiv City Military Administration, reported that Russian combat drones systematically aimed at the capital from multiple directions.

Subsequently, the attack escalated as cruise missiles were launched from aircraft.
