President Joe Biden continues to grapple with persistent challenges, including unfavorable job ratings, widespread concerns about his age, and declining confidence among Democratic-aligned voters, according to a recent CNN Poll conducted by SSRS.

In a potential rematch between Biden and former President Donald Trump, who currently holds a significant lead in the GOP primary, there is no definitive frontrunner.

A substantial portion of registered voters (46%) believes that any Republican presidential nominee would offer a preferable choice to Biden in the upcoming 2024 election, CNN reported.

Perceptions of President Biden personally have taken a notably negative turn, with 58% expressing an unfavorable impression of him.

Additionally, less than half of Americans (45%) believe that Biden genuinely cares about people like them, and a mere 33% describe him as a president they take pride in.

The public’s confidence in Biden’s inspirational qualities has also dwindled, standing at 28%, down by 7 percentage points from March, while faith in his physical and mental prowess to effectively serve as president has declined to 26%, a drop of 6 points from March.

These declines in perception are primarily driven by Democrats and independents.

Approximately three-quarters of Americans harbor serious concerns about the potential negative impact of Biden’s age on his current physical and mental competence (73%), as well as his ability to complete another full term if reelected (76%).

A smaller majority, 68%, holds deep reservations about his capacity to comprehend the concerns of the next generation (with this figure being 72% among those younger than 65, but only 57% among those 65 or older).
