On Saturday, a tragic incident unfolded in Los Angeles County as a sheriff’s deputy, Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer, 30 years old, was ambushed and shot in the head while seated in his patrol car.
This heartbreaking incident occurred merely four days after Deputy Clinkunbroomer had become engaged, as confirmed by the police, the New York Post reported.
Deputy Clinkunbroomer was found unconscious outside the Palmdale sheriff’s station at around 6 p.m., as detailed by Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna during a late Saturday press conference.
Following this discovery, he was promptly transported nearly 10 miles to Antelope Valley Medical Center in Lancaster, where he was initially listed in critical condition. Tragically, he later succumbed to his grievous injury.
Sheriff Luna expressed his profound dismay at the situation, particularly because Deputy Clinkunbroomer was in uniform at the time of the attack, describing it as deeply disturbing.
As of Sunday morning, the perpetrator responsible for this heinous act remains at large.
