Former President Donald Trump spent his Sunday night on Truth Social vehemently condemning NBC News and MSNBC, vowing to initiate investigations into what he characterized as acts of “country-threatening treason.”

Both during and after his tenure in office, Trump frequently voiced his criticism of media outlets, often branding them as the “enemy of the people,” regardless of whether they provided favorable coverage.

In the wake of facing four criminal indictments, his rhetoric regarding adversarial press has taken a more ominous turn, Mediaite reported.

Utilizing his Truth Social digital platform, Trump issued stern warnings about launching inquiries into Comcast, the corporate parent of NBC News and MSNBC, alleging their involvement in activities amounting to “threatening treason.”

He further contended that they lacked the entitlement to utilize the precious airwaves of the United States without incurring costs.

“They are almost all dishonest and corrupt, but Comcast, with its one-side and vicious coverage by NBC NEWS, and in particular MSNBC, often and correctly referred to as MSDNC (Democrat National Committee!), should be investigated for its ‘Country Threatening Treason,’” the Republican presidential frontrunner wrote to his followers on Sunday.

“I say up front, openly, and proudly, that when I WIN the Presidency of the United States, they and others of the LameStream Media will be thoroughly scrutinized for their knowingly dishonest and corrupt coverage of people, things, and events,” Trump added.
