
Local authorities have reported that a 32-year-old student has been apprehended following a deliberate shooting spree in Rotterdam, Netherlands, which resulted in the deaths of three individuals on Thursday.
The initial incident unfolded within a private residence located on Heiman Dullaert square in the city.
Inside this residence, the suspected shooter fatally shot a 39-year-old woman and caused “serious injuries” to her 14-year-old daughter, the CNN reported.
Tragically, the teenager succumbed to her injuries after being admitted to the hospital. Additionally, the assailant set fire to the house.
Subsequently, the alleged gunman proceeded to enter a classroom situated at the prestigious Erasmus University Medical Center, which is in close proximity.
Within the university premises, he fatally shot a 46-year-old doctor, as confirmed by Fred Westerbeke, a spokesperson for the police.
Ultimately, law enforcement managed to apprehend the suspect beneath the helipad of the hospital. Notably, the alleged perpetrator was a student at Erasmus University.
