
On Tuesday night in Oregon, tragedy struck as a small plane crashed into a residence, resulting in two fatalities and one individual sustaining injuries, according to officials.
Numerous witnesses placed emergency calls to 911 after observing a small aircraft in a spiraling descent towards the ground, eventually crashing in Newberg, situated approximately 23 miles southwest of Portland.
This incident occurred just before 7 p.m. local time, as reported by Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue through a Facebook post, NBC News reported.
Firefighters were swiftly dispatched to the scene, where they discovered that the plane had penetrated the roof of a residential dwelling.
The fire and rescue service further noted that a portion of the aircraft had ended up inside the home, while the remainder lay in the backyard.
At first, firefighters located two individuals inside the plane, with one tragically declared deceased at the scene.
The second occupant was airlifted to a trauma hospital in Portland, where they were being treated for severe injuries.
Subsequently, as rescue crews were able to secure further access to the aircraft wreckage, they discovered a third occupant who had also lost their life.
