The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday that 31 Ukrainian drones were successfully intercepted by Russian air defenses during a coordinated nighttime attack by Kyiv’s forces in border regions.
This marked the largest cross-border drone assault reported by Moscow since the beginning of its invasion 20 months ago. Fortunately, there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties, the Associated Press reported.
As Ukraine continues its gradual counteroffensive, which was initiated three months ago to drive out Russian invaders, concerns are growing regarding the resupply of its military resources and a weakening of Western support.
Adm. Rob Bauer, the head of NATO’s Military Committee, expressed alarm over depleting stockpiles, adding to the uncertainties surrounding Ukraine’s access to weapons and ammunition from its Western allies.
