Nikki Haley is making her way back to New Hampshire this week, further establishing herself as the leading contender challenging former President Donald Trump in the 2024 Republican presidential race.
Her popularity in New Hampshire has been on the rise.
Building on the momentum gained from her performances in two Republican presidential debates, Haley has surged ahead of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to secure a solid second place in the polls, trailing Trump.
Trump, acknowledging Haley’s increasing prominence, has playfully referred to her as “Birdbrain.”
Recently, former Rep. Will Hurd of Texas endorsed Haley, abandoning his own long-shot bid and encouraging others to join “Team Haley.”
In the third quarter of this year, Haley raised an impressive $11 million and started October with $9 million at her disposal for the primary, as reported by her campaign.
In comparison, DeSantis had $5 million in primary funds, the Washington Times reported.
The Trump campaign announced a total of $45.5 million raised in the third quarter through his political committees, with $36 million designated for the primary race.
Haley, who previously served as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations during the Trump administration and as a former governor of South Carolina, has actively engaged in over 50 events in New Hampshire.
She intends to continue expanding this list during a two-day campaign swing.
