This week, a Star of David symbol was found marked on the front door of an apartment building in Berlin, highlighting the growing tension in Europe following the recent Hamas terror attacks on Israel.
Eerily reminiscent of the distressing days of the 1930s when Jewish businesses were identified with the Star of David by the Nazis, a young woman of Jewish heritage was deeply shocked to discover that her residence in the Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood of the German capital had also been marked with this symbol during the same week, Breitbart News reported.
Speaking to the Bild newspaper, she said: “I was sitting in the car with a friend yesterday. When we got home I saw the Star of David and got a huge shock.”
She said that upon seeing the marking, she called the police, but said: “They told me they had no capacity and asked for an online notification.”
As per the report, the police have not made contact with her even after she lodged an official complaint regarding property damage and suspicion of incitement, as confirmed by the German publication.
Consequently, the identity of the individual responsible for the graffiti remains unknown at this time.
