On Sunday, a small group of demonstrators, consisting of a few dozen protesters, gathered at the intersection of North Ocean Boulevard and Freedom Street in Hollywood to voice their opposition to Israel’s offensive in the Gaza Strip.

This peaceful protest, organized by the Broward County chapter of Black Lives Matter, primarily featured a crowd of young individuals who displayed signs and chanted slogans at passing vehicles.

Some passing drivers honked their horns in apparent support, the Sun Sentinel reported.

Chants like “Hey, hey, ho, ho, Zionism has to go” were heard, and signs bore messages such as “Stop Killing Gaza Kids” and “I Support Palestinian Human Rights.” One sign read, “Jews for Palestinian Liberation.”

This event was one of several demonstrations that have taken place in South Florida following the October 7th attack on Israel by the terrorist organization Hamas, and the subsequent Israeli bombing campaign in the Gaza Strip.

Co-organizer Tifanny Burks said the demonstration was organized in “solidarity of people dying of genocide in Palestine.”
