State Fair of Texas evacuated and 1 man arrested after shooting in Dallas

On Saturday night, a shooting incident occurred at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas, resulting in three individuals being injured and prompting the fair’s evacuation, as reported by the police.

The Dallas Police Department received a report of a shooting at approximately 7:45 p.m., which was said to have taken place in the fair’s food court.

Upon investigation, it was determined that one man had fired shots at another man, leading to three victims sustaining gunshot injuries.

Fortunately, these injuries were non-life-threatening, although the precise conditions of the victims were not immediately available, the Associated Press reported.

The police promptly located and arrested a suspect, although the individual’s identity was not immediately disclosed.

Additionally, a firearm believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered by law enforcement.

A prior social media post by the Dallas police had confirmed the evacuation of the park while they conducted their investigation into the shooting.

The State Fair of Texas also issued a social media notice confirming the evacuation and acknowledging the ongoing police investigation.
