Former President Donald Trump, the leading candidate in the Republican presidential primary, has made a commitment to overturn President Joe Biden’s Electric Vehicle (EV) mandates.

At the same time, he is cautioning American auto workers that their employment may become obsolete within a few years if Democrats have their way.

Recent reports from Breitbart News highlight that approximately 34,000 auto workers across the United States are currently engaged in a strike against General Motors (GM), Ford, and Stellantis.

They are striving to negotiate new contracts that include higher wages to contend with record inflation and assurances that their positions will not be eliminated due to Biden’s EV mandates, Breitbart News reports.

In a video message directed at members of the United Auto Workers (UAW), Trump asserted his commitment to reversing Biden’s EV mandates, which he believes could result in the loss of their jobs within two years.

“I will repeal Joe Biden’s electric vehicle mandate and I will do everything in my power to achieve a drastic reduction in the cost of a new car. I will get the prices way down so that you can afford the lifestyle your family deserves,” Trump said.
