The creators of the Brave1 defense technology cluster have introduced a terrestrial kamikaze robot called the Ratel S for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as announced by Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, on Telegram on October 24.

The Ratel S has the capability to function as a mobile warhead equipped with anti-tank mines or as an armament station.

Its advanced technology empowers operators to safely neutralize tanks or enemy fortifications from a remote location, Yahoo News reported.

“Ratel S has successfully passed field tests and has been put into mass production,” said Fedorov.

The vehicle boasts a top speed of 24 km per hour and can cover a distance of 6 km on a single charge. It has the capacity to operate for up to 2 hours continuously without requiring a recharge.

Minister Fedorov noted that nearly 2,000 military drones have been deployed to the front lines. In 2023, the production of Ukrainian drones has skyrocketed, increasing by over 100 times in comparison to the previous year.

The widespread utilization of drones by both Russian and Ukrainian forces has ignited a drone arms race, with Ukraine deploying a range of newly developed drones to inflict significant damage on Russian personnel and equipment.
