Envision a factory where humanoid robots, capable of walking, running, and working much like humans, come to life.

While this might sound like a scenario from a science fiction film, it’s a reality. Welcome to RoboFab, soon to open its doors right here in the United States.

Located in Salem, Oregon, RoboFab is slated to commence operations later this year.

The brainchild of Agility Robotics, a company known for its expertise in crafting biped robots that can adeptly maneuver through intricate environments, RoboFab is poised to become the world’s first production facility for humanoid robots, with a staggering annual capacity of 10,000 units.

This innovative factory will leverage advanced automation and assembly techniques to manufacture Digit, Agility Robotics’ flagship product, Fox News reported.

Digit, a humanoid robot, boasts a wide range of capabilities, from handling boxes and opening doors to scaling stairs.

However, Digit is more than just a machine; according to the company, it’s a collaborative robotic co-worker capable of adapting to diverse situations in partnership with humans.
