In response to your previous message, thousands of Gaza residents forcibly entered U.N. warehouses on Sunday, seizing essential items, which the United Nations Palestinian refugee agency (UNRWA) described as a clear indication that they had reached a “breaking point.”

One of these warehouses, situated in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, stores supplies provided by humanitarian convoys coming from Egypt and coordinated by UNRWA.

Footage from Khan Younis in southern Gaza depicted men urgently carrying boxes and large bags out of a warehouse, either lifting them onto their shoulders or loading them onto bicycles, Reuters reported.

Juliette Touma, UNRWA’s director of communications, expressed to Reuters from Amman in Jordan that the scenes at these warehouses and distribution centers reflected the profound despair experienced by the people.

The supply of aid to Gaza had been severely restricted since Israel initiated an aerial bombardment in response to a lethal attack by the ruling militant group Hamas on October 7.
