In a Houston suburb, a shooting at a flea market on Sunday evening resulted in the tragic death of one juvenile and injuries to four others.

The incident occurred at Cole’s Flea Market in Pearland, situated approximately 15 miles south of Houston, prompting a response from the Pearland Police Department around 5:30 p.m., following reports of gunfire.

Police spokesperson Chad Rogers revealed that three adults and two juveniles were discovered injured and subsequently transported to nearby hospitals.

Tragically, one of the juvenile victims succumbed to their injuries on Sunday night, CNN reported.

According to Rogers, the shooting seems to have stemmed from a disturbance between two individuals and was not a targeted assault on the market.

As of Sunday night, the police were still working to identify the responsible party.

Detectives were actively conducting interviews with witnesses to determine the number of individuals involved, how many fired weapons, and the total rounds discharged during the incident.
