On Monday, the IDF confirmed that a rocket attack originating from Lebanon targeted the Biranit base in northern Israel.

Social media footage reveals significant damage and fires resulting from the shelling.

The IDF acknowledged the rocket strikes on the base, and Times of Israel correspondent Emmanuel Fabian attributed responsibility to Hezbollah.

While there were no reported injuries, the base sustained severe damage. The IDF initiated the incident by launching artillery into Lebanon to prevent Hezbollah from approaching the area.

Subsequently, rockets were fired from Lebanon at the Arab al-Aramshe and Bar’am communities, along with the Biranit army base, the Daily Express reported.

In response, the IDF deployed fighter jets, combat helicopters, and tanks to strike Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon.

The Iran-backed group claimed responsibility for the rocket and mortar attacks throughout the day, launching over 1,000 projectiles at Israel since Hamas’ October 7 attack.

Meanwhile, Israel continues its ground offensive against Hamas.
