Determined to prevent the potential return of former President Donald Trump to the White House, ex-U.S. Representative Liz Cheney urged New Hampshire voters on Friday to utilize their upcoming presidential primary as a means to convey a powerful message to the global community.

“Speak for us all. Tell the world who we are with your vote. Tell them that we are a good and a great nation,” she said. “But make sure they know that we do not bend, we do not break and we do not yield in the defense of our freedom. Show the world that we will defeat the plague of cowardice sweeping through the Republican party.”

As the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, Liz Cheney had long been a prominent Republican figure, the Associated Press reported.

However, she diverged from numerous colleagues due to her disagreement with former President Trump’s allegations of election fraud.

Additionally, her role as vice chair of the Congressional committee tasked with probing the January 6, 2021, riot on the U.S. Capitol further distanced her from some within her party.
