Chief Mike Kite of the Silt Police Department verified on Sunday to FOX31 that U.S. Representative Lauren Boebert was engaged in an incident with her ex-husband at Miner’s Claim Restaurant on Saturday around 9 p.m.

Chief Kite mentioned that law enforcement was summoned during the incident.

However, no arrests were made, and no one was taken into custody. The investigation into the matter was still ongoing, KDVR reported.

Regarding the incident, Boebert issued the following statement to FOX31’s sister station in Colorado Springs:

“This is a sad situation for all that keeps escalating and another reason I’m moving,” she said. “I didn’t punch Jayson in the face and no one was arrested. I will be consulting with my lawyer about the false claims he made against me and evaluate all of my legal options.”
