A shoeless man’s body was found in the subway tunnels beneath Grand Central Station in New York City.
The discovery was made as subway workers conducted routine inspections and work, locating the man hanging from his neck by a wire approximately 100 feet down in the tunnel of the 7 train.
The individual, yet to be identified, was found at around 5 am and pronounced dead at the scene just before rush hour.
Initial reports suggest a suspected suicide, with no evidence of foul play detected so far, according to officers, The Mirror reported.
Distressing images circulated, revealing the fully clothed but barefoot man, and others captured the scene as officers released and placed his body in a bag.
