Trump, DeSantis, Haley ALL leading Joe in new poll

A recent CBS News/YouGov poll indicates that the top three GOP presidential contenders—former President Trump, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis—all lead President Biden in a hypothetical general election matchup.

In a head-to-head comparison, Haley emerges as the strongest contender against Biden, boasting an 8-point lead with 53 percent support to Biden’s 45 percent.

This advantage is attributed to Haley garnering more support from moderates and Independents compared to Trump and DeSantis, as revealed by the survey.

The poll further reveals that 59 percent of independent voters would back Haley in a matchup against Biden, while DeSantis and Trump would receive support from 55 percent and 54 percent of independents, respectively.

In a contest with Biden, DeSantis secures 51 percent support, while the president receives 48 percent, The Hill reported.

The closest match-up between the two frontrunners, Biden and Trump, sees 50 percent of respondents favoring Trump and 48 percent favoring Biden.

Despite this, Trump maintains a substantial lead in the GOP primary, commanding a 55-point advantage among GOP voters.

The breakdown of GOP support in the survey shows Trump at 69 percent, DeSantis at 14 percent, and Haley at 12 percent.

Conducted from January 10-12 among 2,870 adults, the poll carries a margin of error of 2.5 percentage points.

Additionally, responses from 786 likely Republican primary voters were included, with a margin of error of 4.7 percentage points.
