
The S&P 500 is on track to achieve yet another milestone, as the benchmark index experienced a rise on Monday, following its record-high close last Friday – a feat not accomplished in two years.
Similarly, the Dow industrials, known for their blue-chip status, surpassed the 38,000 mark for the first time after also achieving a record close on Friday.
Investors are set to analyze a plethora of economic data and earnings reports throughout the week.
This includes eagerly awaited releases such as the first reading of fourth-quarter GDP and the Federal Reserve’s preferred inflation gauge, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Notable companies like Tesla, Netflix, and Procter & Gamble are scheduled to report their earnings during the week, adding further anticipation and activity to the market.
