
Authorities are conducting an investigation following the discovery of several suspicious devices in different parts of the state.
In Deming and Las Cruces, devices have been located. Deming police reported that an explosive device was found at 920 South Silver Ave., urging the public to avoid the area as they work to ensure safety.
There is also a possibility of a second device in the vicinity.
Due to the ongoing investigation, the Luna County Magistrate Court and the 6th Judicial District Court in Deming have been temporarily closed.
In Las Cruces, portions of Picacho Avenue have been closed by the police after an unidentified item was found at the Adult Probation and Parole Office, KOAT reported.
The bomb squad from the Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office is assisting in the investigation.
