Former President Trump is poised to secure victory in the New Hampshire GOP primary, as projected by Decision Desk HQ.

This outcome deals a significant setback to his rival Nikki Haley and brings him closer to clinching the party’s nomination.

Trump’s triumph in the Granite State is particularly impactful for Haley, who had dedicated a substantial amount of time and resources to the state.

Despite securing the endorsement of popular Gov. Chris Sununu (R), Haley faced challenges as polls, at one point, indicated her trailing Trump by only single digits, The Hill reported.

The former U.N. ambassador was under pressure to perform well in New Hampshire, especially after placing third in Iowa and with her main competitor, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), withdrawing just days before the primary and endorsing Trump.

Recent polling indicated a challenging path for Haley, with a polling average from Decision Desk HQ and The Hill showing Trump with 51 percent support and Haley at 37 percent in New Hampshire.
