Escaped inmate Shane Pryor captured by U.S. Marshals after 5 days on the run

Shane Pryor, the 17-year-old escaped prisoner, was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Service on Sunday night in Philadelphia after spending five days on the run.

Authorities reported that Pryor was taken into custody just after 6:30 p.m. at 3rd Street and Roosevelt Boulevard, situated between the city’s Feltonville and Olney neighborhoods.

Visual evidence captured U.S. Marshals apprehending Pryor on a SEPTA bus at the specified location in North Philadelphia.

Law enforcement successfully pulled over the bus to effect the arrest on Sunday evening, according to officials, CBS News reported.

“We did a thorough pat down, like I said, but there was no cockiness, but I think he knew the jig was up,” U.S. Marshals Service Supervisory Deputy Rob Clark said.

Pryor will now be taken to a secure facility as he awaits trial for the 2020 murder of Tanya Harris
