Democratic Representative Cori Bush from Missouri, a member of the far-left “Squad” in Congress, is reportedly under investigation by the Department of Justice (DOJ) for alleged misuse of government funds designated for private security.

According to Punchbowl News, the DOJ is conducting a criminal probe into Bush, with six sources cited by the outlet making the allegation.

The Justice Department took a significant step on Monday by subpoenaing the House Sergeant at Arms for records related to the improper use of federal security funds, Breitbart News reported.

While initial reports did not disclose the name of the House Democrat involved in the investigation, it was revealed that a House Democrat had previously been probed by the Federal Elections Commission for using campaign funds for private security.

Bush, as reported by Breitbart News, continued to pay her now-husband, Cortney Merritts, for private security even after their marriage.
