A Pennsylvania man, Justin Mohn, aged 32, has been apprehended on charges of allegedly murdering his father, Michael Mohn.
The accused is accused of displaying his father’s decapitated head in a disturbing YouTube video while espousing right-wing conspiracy theories.
According to information from the police shared with NBC News, Justin Mohn was arrested about 100 miles away from the crime scene on suspicion of first-degree murder, abuse of a corpse, and possessing an instrument of crime with intent.
Public records indicate that the victim, Michael Mohn, was 68 years old, although the police did not initially release his age.
Justin Mohn was arraigned at 4 a.m. and denied bail, as confirmed by Middletown Township Police Capt. Pete Feeney, NBC News reported.
The YouTube video, titled “Mohn’s Militia – Call To Arms For American Patriots,” was referenced in a police complaint. In the video, Mohn is seen wearing gloves and holding his father’s head in a plastic bag.
Subsequently, the head is shown in a cooking pot. Throughout the disturbing footage, Mohn accuses his father, who he claims was a federal employee for two decades, of being a traitor.
He calls for the death of all federal officials while attacking President Joe Biden’s administration, the Black Lives Matter movement, the LGBTQ community, and antifa activists.
YouTube removed the video, which exceeded 14 minutes in length, several hours after its initial posting.
