The gunfire that occurred during the Kansas City Chiefs parade resulted from a “personal dispute” among individuals in the crowd, leading to a shooting incident unrelated to terrorism, according to the police.
Furthermore, two of the three individuals taken into custody are juveniles, as reported by the police.
As of now, no charges have been filed in connection with the incident. Among the victims hospitalized, eight are in critical condition, with seven in serious condition, the Mirror reported.
One fatality occurred during the incident: a 43-year-old woman officially identified as Elizabeth Galvan, known locally as Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a radio DJ. Police Chief Stacey Graves expressed condolences, stating, “She was loved by many. To her friends and family, we want to say, we are with you.”
The woman killed in the shooting was previously recognized by radio station KKFI-FM as Lisa Lopez-Galvan, known by her DJ name ‘Lisa G,’ who hosted the show ‘Taste of Tejano.’
