In the serene tranquility of Xpres-Spa at Harry Reid International Airport, amidst the bustling chaos of the terminal, employee Sarah Mikel showcased the store’s latest offering—an automated manicure service.
Demonstrating the innovative robotic manicure, Mikel followed the cues from the machine. Opting for a vibrant red shade, she comfortably settled in for the experience.
The mechanized manicurist meticulously painted Mikel’s nails one at a time, employing swirling brush movements in concentric circles to ensure thorough coverage.
The occasional pause in the process served for the machine to provide instructions, guiding Mikel on where to position her arm or hand for optimal results.
“Everyone really enjoys it,” Xpres-Spa manager Brittany Kibler said of the AI-powered Clockwork MiNiCURE. “They think it’s really cool as an experience, to just come in, get their nails done and then leave — especially the people who don’t have a lot of time,” the Las Vegas Sun reported.
Introduced in late 2023, the robotic manicure service made its debut in Terminal 1 of the Las Vegas airport, marking the third location for XpresSpa to offer this innovative product.
Prior to its arrival in Las Vegas, the service had been successfully deployed at airports in New York and Florida.
Since its introduction a few months ago, the MiNiCURE, as described by Kibler, has gained significant popularity.
