A tragic incident unfolded in Arkansas on Sunday, resulting in three fatalities, including a suspected shooter, and five individuals sustaining injuries during a shooting at a private party.
Around 5 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to the 600 block of Burke in Jonesboro, discovering multiple gunshot victims at the scene, as reported by the Jonesboro Police Department.
One person was transported by ambulance to a hospital, and four others sought medical attention in personal vehicles.
The authorities revealed that the shooting originated from a domestic disturbance that spilled over into a private party.
The suspected shooter, involved in a domestic altercation, tragically died during the incident. The suspect allegedly wounded a known female acquaintance and fatally shot a female and male acquaintance.
Three additional victims sustained injuries, with no apparent connection to the suspect, NBC News reported.
A fifth wounded person later arrived at a local hospital with various injuries, and it remains unclear if they were acquainted with the suspect.
The identities of the victims and details about their injuries were not disclosed by the authorities. Police stated that there is no active threat to the community, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
