According to court documents revealed on Monday, a harrowing account unfolded as a young mother desperately dialed 911 moments before allegedly being gunned down by a man accused of a triple homicide over the weekend, while her mother attempted to defend against the assailant with an ax handle.
Andre Gordon Jr., 26, stands charged with the murders of three family members, along with eluding police in a cross-state pursuit over the weekend.
He faces murder charges in Pennsylvania and additional charges of carjacking and weapons offenses in New Jersey.
Taylor Daniel, 25, who shared two children with Gordon, was tragically shot to death on Saturday morning in Levittown, Pennsylvania, as detailed in an arrest affidavit. Just before her demise, Daniel made a frantic 911 call, authorities disclosed.
Responding officers rushed to the residence at 5 Edgewood Lane at 9:05 a.m., only to find Taylor Daniel fatally wounded. She was pronounced dead at the scene, the document revealed.
Daniel’s brother, John, and their mother, Nancy, were present in the house at the time of the fatal shooting, according to Falls Township police, NBC News reported.
According to the affidavit, at 8:52 a.m., Falls Township police were dispatched to 45 Viewpoint Lane, where they discovered the bodies of Karen Gordon and another individual identified only as KG.
Prosecutors from Bucks County later confirmed the victims at Viewpoint Lane to be the suspect’s stepmother, Karen Gordon, aged 52, and his 13-year-old sister, Kera Gordon.
Footage from a Ring doorbell camera captured Andre Gordon Jr., allegedly aiming a rifle into the residence through a shattered window, as detailed in the affidavit.
Prior to fleeing, the suspect engaged in a confrontation with his father at Viewpoint Lane, authorities stated.
Following the altercation, the suspect fled to Trenton, New Jersey, where law enforcement apprehended him later that same day.
