The death toll resulting from a dreadful terrorist assault at a bustling music venue just outside Moscow has surged to 60, as stated by Russia’s Investigative Committee in the early hours of Saturday.

Health authorities report that nearly 150 individuals have been injured, among them several children.

In an alarming turn of events, unidentified assailants raided Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk on Friday evening, unleashing gunfire upon attendees who had gathered for a rock performance.

Amid the chaos, the assailants set the building ablaze. The whereabouts of the terrorists remain uncertain, as specialized units and the National Guard mobilize in response to the attack.

Throughout the night, investigators continued the grim task of recovering bodies, cautioning that the casualty count may yet rise, RT reported.

Svetlana Petrenko, spokesperson for the Investigative Committee, disclosed that forensic teams are gathering physical evidence and scrutinizing surveillance footage.

Social media footage reveals the presence of at least five gunmen, who ruthlessly targeted security personnel before indiscriminately shooting at individuals within the venue’s lobby.

Another group of attackers was captured on video firing upon concert attendees within the music auditorium.
