Biden admin to accuse Chinese hackers of targeting US companies

According to three individuals familiar with the matter who spoke to CNN, the Biden administration is gearing up to publicly implicate a number of Chinese hackers for carrying out extensive cyber intrusions against US companies on behalf of China’s civilian intelligence apparatus.

This coordinated effort across multiple government agencies is anticipated to involve criminal indictments, imposition of sanctions, and the offer of a substantial reward for information leading to the apprehension of these hackers.

The US government alleges that these individuals operate under the direction of China’s influential Ministry of State Security intelligence agency.

Sources suggest that an official announcement, complete with the names and photographs of the accused hackers, could be forthcoming as early as Monday, CNN reported.

It has been revealed that the hackers have been utilizing a Chinese tech company as a facade to conceal their illicit hacking activities.

Furthermore, it has been disclosed that the British government is also gearing up to accuse this hacking group of targeting organizations within the UK.

Members of the media have reached out to the Chinese Embassy in Washington, DC for comment. However, the Justice Department has declined to provide any comments on this matter.
