The Prime Minister of Poland has warned that Europe is entering a “pre-war era” as Russia’s aggressive actions in Ukraine escalate dangerously close to Poland’s borders.
Vladimir Putin’s military strikes targeted civilian infrastructure, including power plants, leaving many without electricity.
Polish PM Donald Tusk likened the situation to pre-World War II tensions and emphasized the need to mentally prepare for a new era of conflict, Metro reported.
NATO responded by deploying fighter jets in Poland, while fragments of a drone were discovered in Romania, near the Ukrainian border.
Moldova also reported explosions near its border with Ukraine, raising concerns about potential spillover of the conflict.
