Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy carried out further personnel changes on Saturday, dismissing a longtime aide and several advisors amidst ongoing reshuffling efforts.
Serhiy Shefir, who had served as Zelenskyy’s first assistant since 2019, was among those removed from their positions.
Additionally, three advisors and two presidential representatives overseeing volunteer activities and soldiers’ rights were let go.
The reasons for these latest dismissals were not immediately provided, NBC News reported.
This move follows a series of personnel changes in recent months, including the removal of Oleksii Danilov as secretary of the National Security and Defense Council on Tuesday, and the appointment of Valerii Zaluzhnyi as Ukraine’s ambassador to the United Kingdom earlier this month after he was relieved from his role as head of the armed forces on Feb. 8.
