Iron Dome ‘overwhelmed’ by Hezbollah rockets

Hezbollah rockets have reportedly overwhelmed Israel’s Iron Dome defense system, with a second round of missiles hitting the dome amid warnings of an imminent attack by Iran.

Videos show multiple rockets launched by the Iran-backed group hitting northern Israel, suggesting the scale of the attack may have outmatched the Iron Dome’s capabilities.

Despite this, no casualties have been confirmed so far, the Daily Express reported.

Israel’s military has stated its readiness to defend the country and respond if Iran retaliates for a recent deadly airstrike on the Iranian Consulate in Syria, an attack for which Tehran blames Israel.

The U.S. military suspects Israel carried out the strike, although Israel has not officially commented on it.

The escalating tensions have raised international concerns that Israel’s ongoing conflict with Hamas in Gaza could potentially escalate and involve other nations in the Middle East.
