Huawei unveiled its latest smartphone lineup, the Pura 70 series, signaling its comeback in the Chinese market and its direct challenge to Apple’s dominance.
This new series replaces Huawei’s “P series” and showcases the company’s growing confidence after facing U.S. sanctions in recent years.
Despite these challenges, Huawei’s smartphone shipments in China surged by 64% in the first six weeks of 2024, while Apple saw a 24% decline in iPhone sales during the same period, CNBC has reported.
The Pura 70 series includes four devices: the Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro, Pura 70 Pro Plus, and Pura 70 Ultra, directly competing with Apple’s iPhone 15 lineup in terms of pricing.
These smartphones boast premium features such as textured back covers, large screens (6.8 inches for the Ultra version), and advanced camera systems with long-range zoom capabilities.
