Police arrest man in Paris Iran consulate incident, threatened to blow himself up

French police arrested a man who threatened to detonate explosives at Iran’s consulate in Paris.

Initially seen entering the consulate with what seemed to be a grenade and an explosive vest, the area was cordoned off.

However, upon leaving, he was found to be unarmed. Witnesses reported him dragging flags and expressing intentions to avenge his brother’s death, though his motives remain unclear.

This incident occurred amid heightened tensions between Iran and Israel, following explosions in Isfahan attributed to an Israeli attack, the Jerusalem Post has reported.

Despite the potential for escalation, Tehran downplayed the incident, signaling a reluctance to engage in broader conflict.

Both the US embassy and French police advised people to steer clear of the area as a precaution.
