Senator Lindsey Graham emphasized on “Fox News Sunday” that the aid package for Ukraine, spearheaded by Speaker Mike Johnson, wouldn’t have succeeded in the House without former President Donald Trump’s assistance.
Graham highlighted the crucial role of U.S. support in bolstering Ukraine’s military capabilities, noting the significant impact it has had on combating Russian forces.
He underscored the importance of providing Ukraine with advanced weaponry to enhance its defense, including ATACMS missiles and F-16 fighter jets.
Graham credited Trump for contributing to the passage of the aid package, particularly through the inclusion of a loan component, which grants leverage for future engagements, Breitbart News reported.
He commended the bipartisan effort between Speaker Johnson and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries in facilitating the provision of weapons to Ukraine.
Rejecting the notion that support for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan is mutually exclusive, Graham emphasized the importance of assisting all three simultaneously for global security.
