Haley attracts over 150K votes in PA primary, weeks after dropping bid

Despite dropping out of the race weeks ago, former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley garnered over 150,000 votes in the Pennsylvania GOP primary, securing 16.6 percent of the total.

While former President Trump overwhelmingly won the primary, securing all of Pennsylvania’s delegates, Haley’s significant vote count reflects ongoing support despite her withdrawal.

Initially emerging as Trump’s main challenger in the Republican primaries, Haley ultimately couldn’t overcome his lead and exited the race after Super Tuesday in March, The Hill has reported.

Though her impact on Trump’s victory in Pennsylvania is minimal, her showing suggests potential concerns for the general election, especially given Pennsylvania’s status as a crucial battleground state.

Haley has maintained considerable support in other states post-her withdrawal, indicating continued interest in her candidacy.
