A passenger aboard a commercial flight captured video footage of a mysterious object resembling a “flying cylinder” above New York City, sparking speculation about a possible UFO sighting.

Michelle Reyes, who recorded the sighting on March 25, reached out to the FAA, expressing concern about a potential safety hazard.

Despite no acknowledgment from authorities, Thomas Wertman of the Mutual UFO Network analyzed the footage, suggesting the object’s altitude, shape, and proximity to a major flight path rule out conventional explanations like drones or aircraft.

The lack of metadata makes it challenging to determine the exact nature of the object, leaving room for further investigation, the New York Post reported.

While the FAA has received no pilot reports regarding the incident, the footage continues to intrigue experts, prompting calls for additional research into the mysterious sighting.
