Principal framed with AI-generated voice, police say

Former Pikesville High School athletic director, Dazhon Darien, was arrested by Baltimore County Police for using artificial intelligence to impersonate Principal Eric Eiswert, leading to the circulation of racist and antisemitic comments attributed to Eiswert.

Darien was apprehended at BWI Airport while attempting to board a flight to Houston, initially stopped for carrying a gun, where officials discovered a warrant for his arrest.

He was charged with disrupting school activities for creating fake audio clips in January, causing significant disruption and triggering hate-filled messages.

The recordings were allegedly made in retaliation for an investigation into Darien’s improper payments to a coach, the Baltimore Banner reported.

Darien was released on $5,000 bond and waived legal representation at his initial court appearance.

The authenticity of the audio was questioned, with police connecting Darien to accessing the school’s network and using AI tools to create the recordings.
