Luxury sports car manufacturer Ferrari has introduced two new models, the 12Cilindri and the 12Cilindri Spider, targeting enthusiasts of high-performance petrol engines.
Unveiled at an event in Miami, these models signify Ferrari’s initial releases of the year, following five launches in 2023, as the company continues its strategy of introducing new models to engage its affluent clientele.
Despite the industry’s push towards electrification, Ferrari remains committed to producing traditional internal combustion engine cars (ICE), buoyed by exemptions for vehicles using e-fuels from the European Union’s planned phase-out of ICE vehicles.
The 12Cilindri and 12Cilindri Spider draw inspiration from Ferrari’s classic GT models of the past and feature the iconic 12-cylinder petrol engine, delivering 830 horsepower and a top speed exceeding 340 kilometers per hour.
Priced at 395,000 euros and 435,000 euros respectively, these models are positioned at the medium-high end of Ferrari’s price range.
Initial deliveries are scheduled for the final quarter of 2024 and the first quarter of 2025, Reuters reported.
Ferrari has ambitious plans, aiming to introduce a total of 15 new models between 2023 and 2026, including its inaugural fully-electric vehicle.
