GOP Senate candidate announces ‘Deport Them All’ border initiative

Jeff Gunter, a former Trump administration official and current Senate candidate in Nevada’s competitive GOP primary race, has launched an initiative to address the crisis at the southern border.

Dubbed “Build the Wall, Deport Them All,” Gunter’s stand mirrors many of Trump’s border policies, including continuing wall construction and collaborating with local businesses to identify illegal immigrants impacting their operations.

The initiative also includes a tip line for reporting suspicious activity. Gunter criticized President Biden’s reversal of Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy, highlighting the need for strong border measures.

He pledged $1 million of his own money to fund the project, which will also involve creating a website and launching an advertising campaign, the Washington Times have reported.

Gunter, who faces opposition from retired Army Capt. Sam Brown in the primary, has vowed to spend millions on his campaign.

Both GOP candidates have criticized Senator Jacky Rosen and President Biden for their handling of border issues, making it a central theme in the race.
