While some suggested supernatural or extraterrestrial explanations, others proposed more mundane theories, such as seagulls illuminated by a light source or natural phenomena associated with fault lines.

Meanwhile, the term “UFOs,” or unidentified anomalous phenomena, was invoked, with references to recent remarks by NASA chief Dr. Thomas Zurbuchen acknowledging the existence of such sightings.

Zurbuchen’s comments came amidst concerns about Chinese spy balloons spotted over the United States, suggesting a connection between unidentified aerial phenomena and advanced technology.
